Ms. Phyllis Stephens will speak at this weeks Garden Club meeting on Thursday, April 30, at 7 p.m. at the Sun¬crest Family Worship Center
This Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Suncrest Family Wor¬ship Center the Lake Spokane Garden Club will welcome the voice of Inland Northwest gardening, Phyllis Stephens.
Stephens is not only a Master Gardener, but a renowned radio host, author and business owner. She is a native of Spokane and has spent nearly her entire life with her hands in the dirt.
Stephens wrote the weekly garden column for the Spokesman Review from 1989 to 2001. She now hosts a three-hour call-in garden talk show every Saturday morning for KXLY 920 radio. She also produces three weekly garden segments for KXLY-TV.
The evening will begin around 6:30 p.m. with a short social hour with refreshments and Ms. Stephens will begin speaking at 7 p.m. She plans to share her extensive knowl¬edge of gardening with all who attend and will answers any questions. Everyone is welcome to the event, brown thumbs and green thumbs alike.
