Second half recap: The entire third quarter was a constant, unending battle for yards. Neither team gained control long enough to score. It seemed like the rest of the game would end in a deadlock.
The fourth quarter comes along, as well as the only Deer Park touchdown of the night early in the quarter. The Stags fight hard to even the score and turn the game around, but the combination of a strong opposing defense and a diminishing game clock made the task almost impossible. The Huskies keep the Stags away from the end zone long enough to gain possession late enough in the game to run down the clock. The Stags turned out to be the last in possession, but in a display of good sportsmanship, they allow the clock to wind down and the game to end. Final score Othello 28, Deer Park 7.
