Composting Workshop
Stevens County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division is holding a FREE composting/vermi-composting workshop to anyone interested. The workshop will be held at the Stevens County Landfill's Administrative Office on November 5th, 2011 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. A minimum of 15 pre-registered individuals will be required to conduct the class with a maximum of 24 people (no walk-ins). The course will last approximately 2 hours with videos, and hands on material dealing with composting and vermi-composting (worms). The course will include handouts and booklets on composting and vermi-composting and at the end of the training each household will be given a free 2-yard backyard-composting bin.
