Tyler Whitehead Update As Of January 13th

Tyler had open heart surgery on Thursday, January 5th. He made it through the surgery. Unfortunately the following day, January 6th, he developed bleeding and clots in the heart, and surgeons had to go back in and repair that. At the same time, due to the staph infection, he had to have his right leg amputated from the knee down and part of his left foot.

Tyler has survived those surgeries but is still on kidney dialysis and fighting a daily battle due to all his body has been through. He has such a long haul ahead of him, along with his amazingly strong mom! I know where Tyler gets his strength and outlook on life from...the angel God chose to be his mom, Robin. She is his rock!

There is a website now for Tyler, caringbridge.org. Once you pull it up, go to “visit the site” put in tyler whitehead with no spaces in his name and pull up his story and the daily journal his mom Robin writes. Take the time to sign Tyler’s guestbook; Robin reads these to Tyler when he is awake to help brighten his day!

Any donations anyone is kind enough to give in Tyler’s behalf, please give to STCU member #262087 as that money goes strictly to Tyler to help pay for everything he has been through and still needs to be done. If you are one of those who has given, remember, you can give up that fast food lunch or morning coffee and give again to Ty. Share Tyler’s story with those you know and the STCU account for him. Thank you so much and please, pray for this courageous young man and his unbelievable mom to “WIN THE DAY” and keep winning all the ones that follow. God bless.
