Varsity Basketball

DISRICT QUALIFIER GAMES

Boys: Fri, Feb 3rd, District Qualifier, at Newport, lost 51-49. In a hard fought game the boys were eliminated when Jeron Konkright of Newport hit a jumper with 1.6 seconds left in the game. Conner Moffatt and Jake Widman had 13 points each for Lakeside.

Girls: Sat, Feb 4th, District Qualifier at Lakeside, vs. Chewelah, Lakeside won 63-41. Tayler Fleming had 21 points as Lakeside defeated Chewelah. Chewelah was eliminated.

Varsity Wrestling

Sat, Feb 4th, at Freeman, NEA Districts: Colville 329.5, Riverside 288.5, Freeman 201, Lakeside 199, Chewelah 162.5, Newport 25. Lakeside had four winners including Hoodie Judd, Brown, Fuson and Hause.

Basketball Girls

Wed, Feb 8th, Districts at Mead HS, vs. Colville, 5 pm.

Fri, Feb 10th, Districts at Mead HS. If Lakeside wins the Wednesday game they play in the championship game at 8 pm. If they lose the Wednesday game, they play in the consolation game at 5 pm. Both teams in the championship game as well as the winner of the consolation game will go to the Bi-District tournament in Moses Lake on Feb 14th.

An example of leadership gone wrong, ever since Jeff Pietz took over girls basketball, great players have never reached their potential. He bragged about 3 state championships in basketball but check out WIAA, he has none as a head coach.
