First Annual Lawn Mower Races To Be Held
Lake Spokane will be holding the first annual lawnmower races on June 9. The track has been donated by Stevens County Fire District #1 and is located approximately six miles past Suncrest behind the Stonelodge Fire Station at 6444 Highway 291. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. for those who wish to race their mower, and the fee is $20.00. Time trials will begin about 10:00 a.m. with the main event to follow.
There will be a donation of $2.00 per person to attend, and children 10 and under will be free. Please bring your own lawn chairs for seating. All monies raised will go toward supporting our community 4th of July celebration.
