Southern Gospel Quartet Combines Spiritual Testimony With Stellar Musical Ability
What do you get when you combine a nationally recognized gospel music singer who is also one of the finest emcees in Gospel music, a home schooled piano playing genius, a talented young tenor, and the great grandson to one of the founding fathers of Blackwood Brothers Quartet? The Blackwood Legacy!
The Blackwood Legacy Quartet, comprised of Rick Price, Luke Yates, Daniel Rivera and Daniel Childs, is one of the most successful and hardest working gospel music groups around today. On tour more than 250 dates per year, the group truly demonstrates the love of God through their music, ministry and testimonies.
This award-winning group will be presenting several special concerts in our area. On Sunday, June 3, 6:00 p.m ., see them at the Dishman Baptist Church in Spokane Valley. Then on Monday, June 4, 7:00 p.m ., they will perform right here in Nine Mile Falls at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Admission is free and a love offering will be received.
Built on the legendary music of the Grammy and Dove award winning group, Blackwood Brothers Quartet, Rick Price and Chris Blackwood formed the Blackwood Legacy as a tribute to them. The Blackwood Legacy was recently signed to Mansion Records and will be soon releasing their first album under the new label.
Inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the Blackwood Brothers, Price has over 30 years of gospel music under his belt. Believing “the road to the future is paved with memories of the past,” and recognizing the need to reach audiences of all ages, Price has gathered some of the finest musicians on the Gospel scene today. He is joined by Luke Yates, a gifted pianist and amazing vocalist originally from the Spokane area, and Daniel Childs the great grandson to Blackwood Brothers founding father Roy Blackwood, and a well-known musician and singer in his own right. The newest member is Daniel Rivera, a talented tenor from the Chicago area.
