Starry Night
Volunteer Recognition Dinner
Nine Mile Elementary School volunteers were treated to an elegant evening as a special thank you for their work on behalf of the students. The theme, “Starry Night,” set the mood, and all the room decorations, from the placemats, to bookmarks, to wall art, to candle wraps for the pillar candles, were created by the elementary students.
The dinner was prepared by Mrs. Fanion’s ProStart class, and it was a State project for Val McCall, who earned a Gold in the Life Event Planning category. The menu included stuffed chicken breast with rice pilaf, asparagus, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Entertainment was provided by the Lakeside High School Jazz Band.
After dinner, the volunteers were able to make a special card designed by Margaret Holt and Tammy Oakley with Stamping-Up.
