Lake Spokane Chamber of Commerce
The Lake Spokane Chamber of Commerce would like to invite the entire community and surrounding areas to the First Annual Lawnmower Races. This event will raise funds for the Lake Spokane 4th of July Celebration. Many professional lawnmower racers will be on hand to introduce their sport to the Lake Spokane area. The event will be held this Saturday, June 9, 2012 on the track behind the Fire Station at Stonelodge, about six miles past Suncrest with registration at 9:00 am and time trials starting at 10:00 am. Admission is a $2.00 donation and children under 10 are free with an adult. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs, sit back, relax and enjoy the races at this family event.
Volunteers are still needed for the 4th of July celebration at Lakeside Middle School. In addition to the Car Show and festivities at the Middle School, there will be a Motorcyle Show in front of the Pizza Factory in the Suncrest Outpost parking lot. There will be many prizes and drawings along with a “Miss Lake Spokane Biker Doll” contest. You must be 18 years or older to enter. Please contact Phil at 276-6349 to volunteer for the festivities, Jeff at 467-4177 for car show info. and Rocky at 590-6074 for motorcycle show info.
Our community has put on a quality fireworks show for the past several years and there is fun to be had for the entire family. Donations are always needed to help fund this community event. You can drop your donations off at the Chamber office located at 5919 D Hwy 291 #4, at any of the donation cans in the local businesses or mailed to PO Box 56, Nine Mile Falls, WA. Please make a donation to your community event.
