ORV Hearing To Be Held
The Stevens County Commissioners have continued the hearing to consider proposed changes to Stevens County Ordinance No. 05-2010, the Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) ordinance, to Monday, August 6, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. and the public comment period has been re-opened. Proposed changes include opening all county roads and rights of way within Stevens County under the Board’s jurisdiction except those lying south of Hwy. 291 in southern Stevens County. The hearing will be held at the Chewelah Civic Center located on the north side of Chewelah City Hall (301 E. Clay Ave.; Chewelah, Washington) – best access is from Webster Avenue. Any interested party may attend said hearing and give testimony for or against the proposed amendment(s).
