Vote Yes for EMS

It is imperative that the voters in Fire District #1 vote YES to continue the $.27 per thousand property Tax levy. This is not an increase in Tax, but is a continuation of the Tax currently in place and necessary to allow the fire department to furnish EMT (Emergency Medical Technicians) services that every family man need, sometimes when you least expect it. I know personally how important their prompt response, and life-saving skills are to people. They have come to my rescue on multiple occasions, and several of my family members such as my wife, and grandson as well. Imagine dialling 911 while having a life threatening emergency and having to wait an inordinate amount of time for help because proper services could not be furnished by our local fire department, all because we voters wouldn’t pass a very crucial levy that our community needs. Is saving money by not passing this levy more important than the health and well-being of you or your loved-ones? That is the question when voting this August. In a time of need, in a critical life-threatening emergency you would appreciate the timely response and vast knowledge and experienced training provided by our local fire department and EMT’s. Get out and vote YES for Stevens County Fire Protection District No. 1 resolution No. 2012-04, you and your families will never regret your decision. Thank you to Lt. Armstrong and the rest of our local EMT’s for your dedicated service to our community.
